Miss Oregon Inlet II Head Boat Fishing

First Monday in August

The first Monday in August marks one of the most exciting days of our season! It's our annual Miss Oregon Inlet II Headboat Youth Tournament. This special event is all about fun, fishing, and family memories.

This tournament is our crew's favorite trip of the season. We invite young anglers ages 6-15 on a half day fishing charter targeting inshore species like pigfish, croaker, sea mullet, grey trout, pufferfish, spot, and sea bass. After the trip, we head back to the newly renovated Oregon Inlet Fishing Center building for a celebratory cookout with hot dogs, chips, watermelon, and drinks. We cap off each trip with an Awards Ceremony where we give trophies for the first fish, biggest fish, and most fish in each age group (6-10 and 11-15). Each angler is automatically entered into a raffle for fun prizes. Every participant in the tournament will receive a medal and Miss Oregon Inlet II t-shirt to commemorate the day!

This tournament is a crew favorite and a highlight of the summer season. It's the perfect way to introduce kids to fishing or celebrate the next generation of anglers in a supportive, fun-filled environment.
